Ephesians 3:18-19 (ESV)

[18] may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, [19] and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Talk About It

Paul prays that we will understand just how big Jesus’ love really is! He says it’s wider, longer, higher, and deeper than we can measure. Even if we tried to imagine the greatest love, Jesus’ love is even bigger. It’s so great that we can never fully know it all—that’s what “surpasses knowledge” means. We need God’s help to begin to feel and understand how much Jesus cares for us. This love fills us up completely, making us feel whole and joyful. When you know you are loved, it changes everything—how you think, feel, and act! No mistake, trouble, or sadness is too big for Jesus. His love reaches us anywhere, anytime, no matter what. Paul knew that only God could help us understand this, so he prayed for God’s Spirit to make us strong enough to really know and believe in Jesus’ amazing love. Whenever you wonder if you are loved, remember: Jesus’ love is always more than enough!

For Parents to Explain

Lord Jesus, thank You that Your love is wider and deeper than we can ever imagine. Help us believe in Your great love each day and share it with others. Amen.
